2024/2025 Application Process

To apply for your child to attend Old First Nursery School for the 2024/2025 school year, please choose from the following two options:

1. Early Admissions: We offer this option for families that are sure, early on in the process, that OFNS is the best fit for their family.  Early Admissions applications must be received by Friday, December 15, 2023. Admissions decisions will be sent out in late December.  If you are sure OFNS is your family’s first choice, we highly recommend applying for Early Admissions since this will give your family the best chance of securing a spot.

2. Regular Admissions: Applications are due by Wednesday, January 24, 2024. Notifications will take place at the end of January 2024.

Selection Process

Children born in calendar years 2020 and 2021 are eligible to apply for our 2024/2025 class. We will have approximately eight openings for 3s (children born in 2021). Depending on how many of our currently enrolled students continue for a second year at OFNS, we may have several spaces available for 4s (children born in 2020). Admissions decisions are determined by a modified lottery system. We seek to maximize diversity (including racial, economic and family-structure diversity) and to balance our class in terms of gender and age.

We give enrollment-priority to siblings of currently enrolled students or alumni. In order to receive enrollment-priority, alumni families must apply for Early Admissions.
