Dear Parents,
Our first two days were short and sweet. We had some tears shed but one person while crying, still managed to connect many multicolored waffle manipulatives.
We played in the yard swinging, digging in the sandbox, and climbing on the jungle gym.
We went inside for circle, sang our Good Morning song, and read books. We read You Are My Wonders, One Happy Classroom, Olivia, Bath Time!, You Matter, and Wake Up! We noticed that the classrooms in our books resembled our classroom, and that the characters were doing the same activities as we are.
We took three big breaths, in and out, together during circle each day.
We are working on walking (not running) in line, holding the same rail when going up and down our stairs, and how to pull our pants up and down (in the bathroom).
It was a good start to the year!
